Types of Wood Burning Stoves

There are a few different types of wood burning stoves that you can buy. They come in a range of prices and features, so it is important to do your research before making a purchase.The two most common types of best wood fired stove are the open fire and the stove type. Open fires are the simplest of all and use an outdoor pit or Fire Ring to burn the wood. 

The benefit of an open fire is that it's versatile – you can use any kind of wood, charcoal or logs, and you don't need any special tools or equipment to set it up. However, an open fire is also the least efficient heater, so it's not ideal for long periods of use.

Stove type stoves use an enclosed space to burn the wood. They come in three main types: solid fuel boilers, gas boilers and pellet smokers/grills. Solid fuel boilers are the most popular type because they're cheap and easy to operate. 

They work by boiling water inside the stove until it reaches vapor form, which then turns into hot steam that works as a heat source to cook food. Gas boilers work in a similar way but use natural gas instead of water as the heat source. 

Pellet smokers/grills work by firing small pellets of wood chips into a combustion chamber where they heat up and turn into smoke, which then travels through a chimney and out into the atmosphere. This type of stove is great for cooking large quantities
